We just got back from our vacation (five days, four nights) at Myrtle Beach, SC.  I'm in the process of uploading 300+ pictures, about half a gig(!), so it may be a little bit before they're all posted!

We had a great time, the boys sure did have a blast!

This one was really fun, we got to pet rays and also got to hold horseshoe crabs!  The main tank is laid out in a very cool way, a moving floor brings you through a circular tube that is right in the middle of the tank, so it's like you're in there with the fish.  Much better than looking at flat glass!

The boys especially enjoyed this one, and so did Laura since she had never driven a go-cart before!  Both boys need to be a bit bigger though, we missed about half of the park due to height restrictions (54" +).

Myrtle Waves

This was an all day event!  Pictured above is the Turbo Twister waterslides, which are the worlds tallest (100ft) enclosed body slides.  Matt rode this one over and over (once was enough for Johnny), and it was scary since it's PITCH BLACK inside the tube as you go down, and you do feel some decent G forces!  Laura even rode it more than once (which is a feat seeing as she's scared of heights).  Something very cool about this park is that with admission you get free drinks and sunblock all day, but the sunblock was only *gasp* SPF 15, so me and Laura look like Lobsters now.

This one was pretty fun too!  We got to see Alligators, Crocodiles, Snakes, Lizards, Tigers (baby Tigers too!), a Bear, and even some River Otters!   The feedings were really cool, and the boys got to pet a small gator!

This was a really cool (and inexpensive) part of our vacation, we got to take a sunset cruise from about 10-15 miles south of Myrtle all the way up to the Grand Strand (Myrtle Beach) and back.  This was a great way to wrap up our trip activities!
