Happy 4th of July!
I have posted pictures from June (swimming, laura is an aunt, laura's sister graduates, hot-air balloon) and from our activities on the 4th.
We did a repeat of what we did last year and went to Morganton for the 5th annual Red White and Bluegrass Festival. This is a four day alcohol free event that has music, activities for the kids, food, and fireworks. I'm not big on bluegrass, but just like most other genres, it's fun to watch being performed live
The fireworks (30min+) and show/vendors in general were better than last year - we will definately be going back. The best part about going to this is that we get a good show, but without the huge standing-room-only crowds, or the parking/traffic nightmare that comes along with a trip to Charlotte or another major city -- plus both times we've been we haven't seen any "domesitc" or "drunk" situations with local LE.
